Chris Collins is a former US Marine, collegiate football player, amateur boxer and mixed martial arts fighter. He is based in Hong Kong where he runs his full-time Academy, ChrisCollinsACTION. There, he teaches the martial arts he has been devoted to throughout his life; Western Boxing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Wing Tsun Kung Fu and Filipino Kali (Pekiti Tirsia).

Chris has been fortunate enough to have trained under very prominant figures in their chosen specialty. Ray “Boom Boom” Mancini, RoyJones Jr., GM Leung Ting, GM Cheng Chuen Fun, GT Leo Gaje Jr., Tuhon Rommel Tortal and Professor Clark Gracie.

Chris met Professor Clark Gracie while he was giving a seminar in Hong Kong. “Becoming a student under Prof. Clark is truly an honour and privilege. I am completely dedicated to spreading his philosophy of jiu jitsu.” Chris is the Clark Gracie Academy representative in Hong Kong. Spreading the teachings of jiu jitsu has become one of his life priorities. “Its not just a martial art. Its a way of life. It has absolutely improved my quality of life, my families quality of life and my students quality of life.”  Chris began his jiujitsu journey back in 1993, but had to put it on hold due to university and then the USMC. He returned to it several years later and due to an old injury had to stop again. He insists if it wasnt for jiujitsu he would not have recovered the way he did, nor would his lifestyle improved to the way it is now.

Being a member of the Clark Gracie JiuJitsu Team has given me the ability to train and teach authentic jiu jitsu.

Over the years, Chris has spread his teachings from Hong Kong to include academies in 10 different countries around the world. His time is spent teaching in his Hong Kong academy and traveling regularly to continue developing his schoools overseas. His other passion is in film. He is currently an actor and action choreographer where he implements his martial style into cinema, teaching actors/actresses and designing the action scenes.
